Upload an image; dark areas become the living typography area.

Explainer

This tool started as a “Hold thy beer” thing from Konstantin Novikov’s Telegram post, where he tells the story of asking ChatGPT/Grok to remake his motion design, probably made in After Effects.

Then it got outta control a little… Made together with Codex. <3

P.S. For testing purposes, I used one of the greatest logos ever made: the Aphex Twin logo by Paul Nicholson.

Start: upload any image. Pixels darker than Ink threshold become the animated area; lighter pixels stay empty. Lower it for a stricter, darker selection; raise it to include more of the image.

How the regions workConnected black islands are treated as separate regions automatically. Each region receives its own closed, constrained walking rail. The letters and splines move only on the rail assigned to their region. For interlocking forms that must be split into separate regions, prepare a second colour-ID mask later; this first version handles ordinary disconnected shapes automatically.
Measured segmentsThe default image will be measured when it loads.
